April Showers Bring Good News

Here in Ohio, we experienced a warm spell with temperatures reaching 81 degrees, quickly followed by frosty days and even some snow. The wood lilies, peonies, anemones, and rudbeckia began their journey toward the sun, only to be nibbled back by the woodland rabbits. Today, I finished putting up a protective chicken wire fence around the flowers.

Like many of you, I was eagerly anticipating the tulips peeking up through their cool, brown blanket of soil and the hydrangeas sprouting new greenery. I'm happy to report that the tulips are now up and producing flower buds, while the hydrangeas are turning green.

Spring has brought about some remarkable events for the Three Widows and the book "Widows Among Us: Stories and Insights." The book has received multiple 5-star editorial reviews and has also been awarded the Gold Award for Outstanding Non-Fiction by Literary Titan!

So, let’s raise a champagne flute to celebrate Spring, flowers and book awards. And while we’re at it, let’s honor this month’s Widows Contribution in Society, Madame Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin, thanks to whom we can raise that glass of bubbly.
